OPEN LETTER TO ALL MEN and the parents who raise them.
 
Big boys DO cry…actually real men do cry, scream, laugh, jump, dance..FEEL. For a very long time the only way I communicated emotion was through anger, acts of violence, road rage, and being really rough in sports. But as I have evolved, I understand that we have been taught something that is unnatural. 

Its our job to feel and process our emotions and NOT bottle them up and claim to be fine, when we are dying on the inside. Today I watched a freak'n youtube video on soldiers returning home in the middle of a crowded cafe with boys and cried my eyes out to the point that they were concerned; until I explained that the video reminded me of how much I missed my Family and, particularly, all of the suppressed pain I hid as a child. All I wanted was to be hugged and told it would be ok, but by the time I was 14, I was ice-cold. 

My Mom and Dad did an amazing job but they, or any other parent for that matter, did not get a manual on how to raise a fiery leo boy at a time when gangster rap and violent movies was booming. Fellas, if you are experiencing hurt, pain, frustration, sadness…I, someone who up to 4 years ago only cried about 7 times total, am declaring that ITS NOT ONLY HEALTHY TO CRY, IT FEELS SOOOOOOO GOOD
