    ~*~

When I look at the sky, the trees, the land
or into the eyes of someone I love,
I experience the wonder of life.
Noticing the simple blessings that surround me
    here and now,
I tap into my inner wellspring of joy.
One joyful thought starts a chain reaction,
just as the song of a bird at dawn invites others to join in.
I choose to cultivate joy, to count my blessings
and to share this feeling with others.
    A joyous state of mind
opens me to divine ideas and substance.
I see new ways to express my potential
and new opportunities to experience life
as a joyful child of God.

    ~unattributed (Daily Word)

    ~*~

The real joy of life is in its play.
Play is anything we do for the joy and love of doing it,
apart from any profit, compulsion, or sense of duty.
It is the real living of life
with the feeling of freedom and self-expression.
Play is the business of childhood,
and its continuation in later years
    is the prolongation of youth.

    ~Walter Rauschenbusch

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being
the more joy you can contain.
Is not the cup that holds your wine
the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven?

    ~Khalil Gibran

    ~*~

Learn to nurture seeds of joy within yourself.
    Ask yourself,
"What's one action that I can take
    to increase my joy today?"

I invite you to join me now in this short Metta Prayer
Radiating the energy of peace and love out to all living beings
Take a few deep breaths to clear your mind
And focus on the here and now
    This present moment
    Now
    Breathe in
Filling your being with peace and love
As you begin each line, breathe out slowly
Breathing these thoughts into the world
Reading, thinking, and feeling the words with peace and love
    Sending them from your heart
Giving the energy to yourself and to all living beings
Breathe in and repeat the process for each line

  • Hey Sweetie,

    Happy Tuesday to you!!!

    Well, today is the day
That Windows 10 begins the roll out
Of its new, big Creators Update
Lots of folks had issues last time
    With the Anniversary Update
I think they will update a little at a time
Last time I waited a month or so before I updated
And all went well for me
Hopefully there won't be that many problems with this update
If I should not show up without telling you
Then you will know I did have problems with the new update
    Hopefully, I'll be fine
    (knock on my woody!)

  • Hey Sweetie,

    Happy Hump Day!
    Sorry to disappoint
    But no posts today
    WHY?
I spent all night updating and upgrading my computer
First, all the Anniversary regular updates
    Then
    After extensive research, finding
That my computer model had been tested for it
I decided to upgrade to the newest version of Windows
    The Creators Update
All of which took me about FIVE hours
My main computer is very good
But it is not a youngster
So I think that is why it took so long to upgrade
I finished all the updates and upgrades
And all SEEMS to be working well
    So far so good
    (Knock on my woody!)
    :  )
I sure do a lot of knocking on my woody
    :  )
    SO
With all that said and done
I am tired and going to bed

    Hope to see you tomorrow
     Let us continue to promote
    Peace and Love
    and continue to build

The best and most beautiful things in
the world cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be felt with the heart.

    ~Helen Keller

    ~*~

Many of us have a tendency to deny any negative feelings.
We judge them as "bad" or "unenlightened" when, in fact,
they are our stepping stone to enlightenment.
Our so-called negative feelings or attitudes
are really parts of ourselves that need
    recognition, love, and healing.
Not only is it safe and healthy to acknowledge
and accept all of our feelings and beliefs,
    it is necessary,
if we are to get in touch with the fears
    and pockets of blocked energy
that are holding us back from what we want.

    ~Shakti Gawain

    ~*~

    Pay attention to your feelings.
They are there to help you; they are your friend.
When you feel off, take notice.
Gently observe your thinking.  Where is it?
If your thoughts aren't in the here and now,
rather than being hard on yourself,
or getting too much into details of your thinking
    (analysis paralysis!),
simply direct your attention back to the moment.
    Don't allow your thoughts
to pull you away from happiness.
