    And Joy is Everywhere;
    It is in the Earth's green covering of grass;
    In the blue serenity of the Sky;
    In the reckless exuberance of Spring;
    In the severe abstinence of gray Winter;
    In the Living flesh that animates our bodily frame;
    In the perfect poise of the Human figure, noble and upright;
    In Living;
    In the exercise of all our powers;
    In the acquisition of Knowledge;
    in fighting evils...
    Joy is there Everywhere.

    HEAVENLY!!!!

    I've posted this before and I will post it again
    Because it is one of my favorites
    I LOVE IT!

    "Tosca is one of the most popular of all operas by Giacomo Puccini repertoire that, by combining the lyricism characteristic of Italian opera with an intensity in the musical accompaniment of recitatives, got a work of exceptional beauty that has achieved an immediate success. From a political background of the scene is taken a plot that involves idealism, love, desire, ambition, jealousy, betrayal and death.

    "Vissi d'arte" is a soprano aria from act II of the opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini. It is sung by Tosca as she thinks of her fate and how the life of her beloved, Mario Cavaradossi, is at the mercy of Baron Scarpia.

    Angela Gheorghiu is a Romanian soprano opera singer. Since her professional debut in 1990, she has sung as soprano leading roles at New York's Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden's Royal Opera House, the Vienna State Opera, Milan's La Scala, and many other opera houses in Europe and the United States." ~*~

    In this aria, Tosca is crying out to God
    Telling him all the good she has done
    And asking why she is being
    Rewarded with such catastrophe and suffering.

    Lyrics in English:

    I lived for art, I lived for love,
    I never did harm to a living soul!
    With a secret hand
    I relieved as many misfortunes as I knew of.
    Ever in true faith
    My prayer
    Rose to the holy shrines.
    Ever in true faith
    I gave flowers to the altar.
    In the hour of grief
    Why, why, Lord,
    Why do you reward me thus?
    I gave jewels for the Madonna's mantle,
    And songs for the stars, in heaven,
    That shone forth with greater radiance.
    In the hour of grief
    Why, why, Lord,
    Ah, why do you reward me thus?

    “It’s very simple, child.
    You are vast, like the sky.
    You have light and dark in you.
    If you fight the dark within,
    you tear yourself asunder, split yourself in two.
    Don’t begin a holy war within, my precious one.
    Love the dark in yourself! Honour it.
    Hold it gently. Flood it with the light of love.
    Illuminate those wounded parts,
    those sore and tender regions of your ancient heart.
    The darkness within you only longs for the light,
    and the light within you longs to touch the darkness.
    Fulfill an ancient promise to illuminate an entire cosmos…”

    GORGEOUS!!!

    "From Puccini's opera, Gianni Schicchi,
    this aria is sung by Lauretta pleading with her father
    to enable her to marry Rinuccio, the love of her life.
    It provides an interlude expressing lyrical simplicity
    and single-hearted love." (Wikipedia)

    Literal Translation:

    Oh my dear papa,
    I love him, he is handsome, handsome.
    I want to go to Porta Rossa
    To buy the ring!

    Yes, yes, I want to go there!
    And if my love were in vain,
    I would go to the Ponte Vecchio
    And throw myself in the Arno!

    I am anguished and tormented!
    Oh God, I'd like to die!
    Papa, have pity, have pity!
    Papa, have pity, have pity!

    ~*~

    Puccini
    "O mio babbino caro"
    ("Oh My Beloved Father")
    from the opera, Gianni Schicchi

    Anna Netrebko

    Meditation is one of the greatest arts in life, perhaps the greatest,
    and one cannot possibly learn it from anybody else.
    That is the beauty of it.
    It has no technique and therefore no authority.
    When you learn about yourself,
    watch yourself,
    watch the way you walk,
    how you eat,
    what you say,
    the gossip, the hate, the jealousy –
    if you are aware of all of that in yourself,
    without any choice,
    that is part of meditation.

    ~Jiddu Krishnamurti

    Meditation connects you with your soul –
    and this connection gives you access to your intuition,
    your heartfelt desires, your integrity,
    and the inspiration to create a life you love.

    Being mindful, having awareness of yourself
    Every second
    In every circumstance
    In every action and inaction
    In thought and deed
    Takes practice
    Practice, Practice, Practice
    Keep watching yourself
    Know what you are thinking, feeling, doing
    As if every moment is the most important moment in your life
    Because these moments
    All these moments
    ARE
    YOUR LIFE
    Watch carefully
    Practice this
    Practice being mindful
    As you do
    You will catch yourself NOT being mindful
    At that moment
    Gently bring your attention back to self-awareness
    This practice will develop an invaluable skill
    The skill of Mindfulness in your life

    “Mindfulness is essential
    in our path toward personal growth.
    We cannot cannot change
