Happy Thor's Day!!!
I hope you are well and feelin' fine!

Because I decided I would
I got up this morning and said,
"BLEH"
Please let me go back to sleep!!!

It took some effort
But I took some deep breaths
And began thinking positive thoughts
Counting things for which I am grateful
Walked around the block
Smiled at myself in the mirror
Told myself, "I love you!"
And decided it would be a good day
I'll have to keep at it
But today is mine and I am going to make the most of it

I'll be on pins and needles this weekend

My Razorbacks play a very talented TCU team
They are ranked 15th best in the country
We are not ranked (yet) : )
We are not expected to win the game
But I sure would like for us to
It would be a very big win
But I'm not going to let myself get upset if we lose
So long as we do our best
Our new offensive line and new quarterback
Need time to get it all together

WHEW! PIG SOOIE!
What a weekend!
I am worn to a frazzle
I wanted to do more for today's posts
But I am emotionally drained after the game this weekend
My Razorback WON!
But OH! How they won!
We held a 20 - 7 lead throughout most of the game
In the fourth quarter TCU came roaring back
Scoring 21 unanswered points
Taking an eight point lead
(I told you they were talented)
So the score was TCU 28 - Arkansas 20
I'm feeling lousy
We had this game and let it get away from us
Here we go again!!!!

But
Amazingly!!!
With just under 2 minutes to play
My Hogs marched down the field and scored a touchdown (6 points)
Then we went for a two-point conversion (2 points)
In order to tie the score
(You may remember me telling you that those are difficult to make)
We made it on an amazing trick play
Score tied 28 - 28
With under a minute to play
TCU got the ball down in field goal range
With 16 seconds left,
They kicked what would be a game winning field goal
(That's where a team kicks the ball through the goal posts for three points)
Only it was blocked by our 6' 10" lineman
The game went into overtime
In the first overtime period we traded touchdowns

I actually began to cry watching my Razorbacks celebrate
All that tension, stress, and joy just poured out of my eyes in tears
I ran around the house yelling
Woooooo PIG Sooie!!!
(Yes, that was me you heard)
LOL
I DVR'ed the game
And I have already watched the last 20 minutes five or six times
The only bad thing about it all
Is that I have very good friends who are TCU fans
I have a lot of respect for TCU and their fans
In fact, I always root for them in all their other games
They are my favorite BIG12 Conference team
I know how badly a loss like this can feel
I've been there
I'm a Razorback fan - Believe me. I know the pain well.
So I feel bad for them
But to beat them was a major accomplishment
It was a signature win for our coaches and this team
And that could not be
If TCU weren't a such a great and talented team -
A Major Player
Even if you are not a fan of either team
It was truly an amazing game to watch
